Sandy Hitchens
COUNSELLOR
Sandy is a counsellor who enjoys working with children and/or their parents, teens and
adults.

She values creating a comfortable and safe space where her clients can be heard and accepted. Often this will involve offering a hot chocolate and a variety of different creative outlets for her clients to express what is happening for them, especially in those moments when talking might just feel way too vulnerable. Sandy is passionate about making sense of what might be happening beneath client’s symptoms and behaviours, and finding ways through to create the conditions for health, maturation and development. As a faculty member of the Neufeld Institute, Sandy works from an attachment- developmental approach and regularly facilitates seminars for parents and professionals.

When Sandy is not counselling, she enjoys spending time with her family, drinking good coffee, walking and planning adventures.
