Right from our start in 1996 we have been about connection with young people wherever they’re at and giving them great role models to journey with. We connect with a wide variety of young people. Some students are struggling at school, others need a holiday from family stresses, many need solid role models, some want to connect with new friends while others need links to careers, study options or local youth groups. Our youth workers and volunteers come alongside them, providing support and encouragement as well as fantastic experiences through our camps and programmes.

We have an amazing team of volunteer leaders who are real role models for the young people they work with. It's great when caregivers let us know the impact of that positive role modeling. "We most definitely notice a behaviour change since camp. She’s now more softly spoken, plays with her little sister more and talks to us instead of yelling at us!"

Our superstar number cruncher is still working on the stats for 2022, but in 2021 with all the different programmes that CDN runs we had a total of 13,114 contacts with young people. This is approximately 1,616 different young people and their families impacted throughout 2021.
